Spritzer-built KGSS 230V (with optional Hammond toroidal step-up transformer)
Will Ship To: Anywhere
For sale is a KGSS amp built by Spritzer. This isn't quite your normal KGSS amp however, as Spritzer tried some new designs on this unit he was intending to incorporate into the KGSSHV. Specifically, the variations from the stock HeadAmp KGSS are that it is using different transistors (resuling in a slightly warmer sound) and a more modern take on the blue Hawaii power supply. Spritzer used massic heatsinks, an Alpha quad pot, one of Justin's teflon socks for Pro output, and input wiring is 1959 milspec teflon-over-silver-plated-copper, from Kevin Gilmore's collection.
Amp is 230V only as the transformers are single tapped. I have been using this in the US with a nice Hammond 120V->240V step-up transformer (true toroidal, not an autoformer). Model is 298CT, purchased from Mouser for $225. If you are a US purchaser, you will need this transformer. I will include it for free for a full-price offer. Link here:
Unit also has only XLR inputs, no RCA's. I can include some RCA->XLR adapters if needed.
I purchased this roughly a year ago directly from Spritzer and have treated it with kid gloves. Absolutely love it in every possible way, but we are saving for a house down payment and extravagances like this unfortunately need to go to hit our goals. (I am downgrading to my old HD580-Bithead combo... oh the sacrifices we make... )
Buyer pays actual shipping but I will eat the PayPal fees. Please let me know if you have any questions or would like additional photos.
