Sennheiser HD 419. Good for metal and rock?

I`m thinking of buying a pair of HD 419 headphones. I like the design. colour and not too long cable. Sound quality is good too. Atleast that`s what people say in reviews but I`m worried about this "punchy bass" thing. How bass heavy these headphones are? Mostly I`m listening to various genres of metal and rock. Would be nice if drums/bass heavy parts of songs would be fueled with some extra bass but what about vocals and guitars for example? I enjoy a good guitar solo and vocals as well. Wouldnt be nice if it all sounds too bassy. Are these headphones even meant for those types of genres?
