LaRocco PRII with matching external power supply--needs soldering!
Will Ship To: Anywhere
I bought my PRII from Larry back in 2006, with the matching power supply and Larocco connecting cable. I think this is Mk I but perhaps my photos will reveal it is Mk II. Anyway, I hadn't used it in a while and the rechargeable batteries were dead. In taking apart the case to replace the batteries, I managed to desolder/disconnect the RCA inputs and the mini-input from the board. I tried to resolder but my skills are lame and I only get sound from the right channel. Plus the work is ugly and there are big blobs of solder instead of nice clean links. Anyway, I emailed what I thought was Larry at Triad Audio and got a response from Brad Taylor that he doesn't know Larry and can't help me with the PRII repair. I am offering it up here--if you want to buy it and do the work yourself, it's yours. If you think you can repair it for me, I am willing to ship to you and pay you for your work, terms to be negotiated. The amp is otherwise (! big caveat !) perfect except the original rubber O-rings around the two silver cases rotted away so I dispensed with them. I found new ones online at an Auto-Supply store but have not ordered them because I kind of like the pure silver look.
EDIT: I've been advised to check with handy members in DIY forum to see if I can find someone to fix it for me rather than sell it for nothing. Trying that route now.
UPDATE: My PRII has been shipped to Singapore for review and possible repair. If the member in Singapore doesn't want to keep it or can't fix it, I will relist this ad.
