Which Grado to buy? Are the upgrades worth it?

I'm sure that the higher upgrades are worth it, but would it really be worth for me to spend the extra $50 to get the SR125 or the extra $100 to get the SR225?

The SR80i is just as good as the SR225i, with L-Pads. The SR225i isn't really an upgrade.

I don't really see much of a difference other than the UPHC wiring and the metal grill, which both I don't think would make a huge difference. So I'm not very inticed to go higher than the SR80.

Save up and get the Rsi2 if you can. They are exceptional headphones and ooze class with the wood. Just my two cents :)

Hear a lot of good things about the rs1i. I hve the 325 and was happy with them for 2 years. Then I got a severe case of upgraditis.

I've had the pleasure of listening to the RS1i model once. Its very warm and clear. Definitely a 'fun' set of headphones, not quite as analytical as, say, the HD 700s but that just comes down to preference.

Would love to try them out some day!
