The headphones need to be good for all genres but the main genres are metal and dubstep, so needs to be great with bass. I'm looking for over the ear and closed headphones however that doesn't matter that much.
Only wanting to spend $750 or less. the BEST headphones $750 can buy !

I'm also looking for a dac , so any suggestions smily_headphones1.gif and only wanting to spend $350 or less on the dac .

Thanks Maddy biggrin.gif

He400 is more lively and v shaped with more treble and bass than he500. In technicalities they are comparable. He400 has the cleanest bass, yet he500 is a little cleaner in the mids and treble. I think the he400 suits your genres best.
Th600 is a totally different beast I'd suppose.
