I've got a pair of Philips Uptown headphones, they have 40mm drivers in them.

In the last week, I've had 2 things break on them - The cable (which I was thinking about replacing anyway) and then one of the cups broke off. It's got a small ball-and-socket type joint and it just snapped off inside.

I've been in touch with Philips and.... they don't sell spares.

So.

I'd like to save the drivers somehow.

The two ways I can see to do this is to transplant them into another housing, or to find a headband to attach them to somehow.

Can anyone help me? About the only thing I've found is people doing this: http://www.instructables.com/id/How-To-DIY-2500-Soundproof-HiFi-Headphones/

Any suggestions at all welcome.
