Moving on from my Superlux 668b

Thread Starter

I seriously love these headphones and enjoy the price I paid for them ($40), but I think it's time to move on to some entry-level headphones. These are my first studio-monitoring headphones and I feel like the soundstage is nice and really enjoy the treble (at times too high). I'm looking for something that is still is an open can, but I could also go for a closed headphone. What I'm really looking for is something that has a little more punchier bass, but not too bloated, something for my downtempo. I currently listen to everything and really could go for a better bass, because that's whats lacking in these 668b cans.

I've done some research and was looking into the HM5, but I don't know if that's something I really am searching for. So I decided to post my first thread in finding someone that could give me some advice! :)

My budget is around ~$110 from Amazon (gift cards).

Thank you,

Jef

You should consult the buying guide that is linked in the first page of this thread.  At $110 you may not be able to get everything on your upgrade list--especially limiting yourself to one seller site (even if it is Amazon).

Hi,

You should read about Takstar Hd6000 and Takstar Hd5500.

Best Luck!
