Yep. Note that a little goes a long way. Rolling off 1 to 3 db at ~8k on the DT990s will make a huge difference. Parametric EQs are generally better for this kind of thing.

I'll prolly need help to set that, J river player have that parametric EQ, but its kind hard for me to figure out, also, I'll only need to do that for music right? Thanks

Schiit vali for 120$ is said to synergize really well with the dt990

Sounds great, but isn't o2 better? Also, it have p2 input I think

Maybe it's better. Maybe not. Depends on what you want. I just know the dt990 is good with tube amps in general, and the vali is said to synergize well with it.
