Headphone left right balance possible problem

I recently received a pair of Sennheiser hd439 headphones for Christmas, and I'm a bit concerned over their left right balance. My problem is a little hard to explain, it almost seems as if I can hear more detail from the right. I can still tell that that sound iS coming from both sides, but I hear the detail as if it's coming from the right( Sorry if this is confusing). I have tried listening to my music in mono, and I tried the driver matching test at audio check.com , and the sound seems centred. I also got my dad to try them, and he reported nothing, but he's also not quite the person who cares much about the sound quality.

I'm suspecting that it's probably just my ears, as I also had the problem with my apple earbuds. What I was wanting to know was if there was a website or program that could test the two sides and make sure they're the same volume. I just want to be absolutely sure, because I don't want to go and replace them and burn them in again without them being faulty.

Thanks for any tips, opinions, or answers!

This was written from my iPad, so sorry for any spelling errors.

This is actually a problem I encountered with my SRH1840's. The right just feels so much more involved if you know what I mean. Not sure if I was losing hearing in my left ear or what, but it seems to be only on certain songs where the mix isn't quite centered, or where the voice is biased to one side.

I do think you had the same problem. I wonder if it might the music for some reason. For me most of my music seems to do this, except for maybe 10-20%, that are more centred or biased to the left. For some reason though, listening to sound tests and music from on line seem to not do this as much. One other thing I should note, In my case, the difference in volume seems to be subtle. When listening on my ipad, changing the left right the minimum to the left makes it too biased to the left, so unfortunately I can only centre it when listening from my laptop.
