Trance

It really warms my heart when i read so many posts about people looking for headphones that works with well with trance and very few posts about users looking for headphones working with what is known as commercial house today (i call it eurodance) :)

And those silly shouts that trance is dead today is absolutely insane and totally wrong.

I just want to say that trance is better today than it was before, say 1999 - 2006.

I've been listening to trance since 1999 and these days i listen to trance around 4-5 hours a day. Some days less, some days more. I ofcours listen to other stuff as well, but trance i my favourit.

Trance is quiet broad today. There is progressive trance that is a little harder than i like it. You can for example listen to Above and beyond - Group Therapy sets for that kind of trance.

I like Epic and uplifting trance. Artists such as.

Andy Blueman

Ferry Tayle

Daniel Kandi

Simon O'Shine

Alex M.O.R.P.H

Ronny K

If you have spotify, you can try my list.

Uplifting Trance

Try the newest tracks in my list, and work your way to the older :)

If you thought Trance was dead, be prepared for a chock. Trance has never been better.

I usually listen to sets such as

Ferry Tayle - Flightbook

Ahmed Romel - Orchestrance

Angel Ace

Acues - http://acues.blogspot.se/ (Download one set here and try and see if you like, me and my friends are nuts about these sets :)

Hey nice, I recognize some of those names, but most are new to me. I'll check these out when I get a chance!

Cool mate, if you need any more assistance such as specific tracks, just tell me.

Recently, a new type of trance has evolved. Orchestral type of trance. They have big and epic melodies, almost soundtrack like with orchestral instruments.

Andy Blueman made it big a couple of years ago. It did exist before that, but not at such a grand scale. Now many are producing those.

Too bad film producers hasn't noticed trance, because i think it would fit well as soundtracks.

My friend who doesn't listen to trance said that a tune i played for him sounded like a movie song :)

I quite like some of the stuff most die-hards would call Grouse, like Armin's new stuff, Orjan Nilsen, Mark Sixma, Andrew Rayel etc. There's always Communication as well

Sorry ment Trouse, not Grouse.

Gotta love System F too.

Finally a thread about Trance. Yes, I would also take 2006 as the last year of Trance being great. I'm also into Andy Blueman, his Everlasting (Emotional Mix) is a really great production and clearly the best he's ever done in my opinion.

Now Playing: Scarab - Vagabond

I really hope some of you recognise this amazing classic by Airbase from 2003. :)

Wow, that was a really great mix.. thanks a lot raptor18. I've just recently started getting back into trance. Could you recommend any more songs that would be qualified as "orchestral trance". I listened to some songs from Andy Blueman and they were amazing.

Yes, I do, there are still great stuff coming out these days, but it's really hard to find. Solarstone's Love Theme From Blade Runner (Pure Mix) is not just good, but epic for example. Lots of people take the death of Trance back to 2004, because that was pretty much the year Progressive Trance was the "dominant", which I partly agree with, but tunes such as Perry O'Neil - Wave Force, Tilt - The World Doesn't Know, Ridgewalkers feat. El - Find (Andy Moor Remix) and the incredible stuff Markus Schulz used to do in those days are just can't be forgotten. I'm just as much into progressive as I'm into faster tracks, it really depends on the mood what I want to listen. There's nothing better than listening to Solid Globe's Sahara when I'm tired or exhausted after a busy day. :)

I don't think so, but did you listen to some of 1991 - 1999? there are certainly much better ones. Can you post some YouTube links of which tracks you mean?

Is there a trance topic anyway (not a "is this headphone good for trance/..." (just get a >=HD600 and get over with how much it costs, it's worth it, not only for trance but later for classical music too, in case you might want to try that and other genres too))?
