I am new here, but have been a lurker for a few months.
The other day I had my Thinksound TS-02's stolen from my desk at work (didn't have a key to the file cabinet). I received those after I went through 2 pairs of the Rain's. I am far from hard on them. They are used just at the desk at work. The first pair of Rains lasted 7 months until the left speaker stopped working. TS replaced them and the left speaker stopped working within a month. So TS recommended upgrading me to the TS-02's, which I did and loved them until they were stolen.
I am no audiophile by any means... but my observations...
I loved the highs and clarity. I could actually hear the strumming of the guitars and could pick up so much different ranges in the mids and highs. They seemed to lack some bass for my liking though. Had Comply tips.
From the moment I put them on, I was in love. The were 80% as clear as the Rains, but had crisp bass to back it up. After awhile I did miss hearing those highs that the Rains provided. But if I had to choose, I would choose the TS-02 every time. Also had Comply tips,
I am looking for an IEM that's comparable to the TS-02 for under $50. I loved the way the wood looked but thats not important to me, as long as they sound great. I listen to basically every genre under the sun... rock, metal, pop, jazz, classical, rap, country, EDM, dubstep...
I have looked at the Soundmagic E10 and the Brainwavz m2, and both look solid. Is there anything else you guys could recommended?
