V-moda lp or Skullcandy Crushers (non audiophile & tight on cash)

I've been wanting to get new headphones for a while and I have a very limited budget. Keep in mind that I'm not an audiophile in the slightest nor do I have heaps of money I can use to get a good pair of headphones. Please be fair with the recommendations I know there are a lot of people that don't like skullcandy.

I've been eying the Skullcandy crushers for I while or their "bass you can feel" which I adore and really would love listening to EDM on them, later I found out about the Vmoda Crossfade LP which I also really like, but I could barely manage to buy the Crushers(thanks to a warranty on the Hesh2).

I would buy the LPs without a second thought if I had the money, but I don't and likely won't for a while. These are my only considerations. Should I wait a couple months to get the money for the LPs or Enjoy the Crushers now?

lol... actually the price of the V-Moda LPs often drop down to $100 or less on Amazon if you are willing to wait for a bit. so that would be the same price as the crushers. It's actually almost guaranteed that their price drops down to $70 during blackfriday/cyber monday (it has in the past two years)

Why do you want the LPs... have you heard em? If you are patient & don't need headphones ASAP & love the LPs, waiting would be chill. That's what I would do anyways: wait for the pair of headphones I really love rather than settle for something else. true story. =P applicable to all things in life

I haven't tried on the LPs but have read many good reviews on them. I really like the fact that the LPs have incredible build quality and also have the ability to have custom shields which I thought was pretty cool so that I could make it my own. The only things that make me consider the Crushers is the "bass you can feel" feature as I said before which sounded pretty cool like a home theater, the ability to fold which the LPs lack, and the fact that my warranty will let me obtain them with $40 but I would need to pay full price for the LPs.

I own the crushers, and I've heard the Crossfade LPs. The "bass you can feel" in the crushers is just that, but in a good way. The old Skullcrushers had a bass function that sounded mediocre, but the Crushers muddy up the sound much less. The drivers can move within the headphones, so the bass boost is like an actual subwoofer. It also uses the Rex40 driver for normal listening, which is the same driver as the Aviators, which really saved Skullcandy's reputation on head-fi.  The Crossfades don't have quite the same rumble, but the bass is still powerful in a good way. If you are a serious basshead, the Crushers won't disappoint. They are mostly plastic however, so if you better looking metal casing the Crossfades would be better. $40 for the Crushers is a steal. I still think they're worth it even at full price, which isn't common for Skullcandy.
