Recommendations for studio monitors. Moving on from ATH-M50.

I need some recommendations for studio monitors.

Yep. I have an M50, and I read somewhere that they have a happy U-shaped FR and not good for monitoring.

I recently tried AKG 550 with a friend and whilst him trying it, I noticed that some of the sound is leaking with 75% of my phone's volume up.  That's not good I thought. So I sticked with my M50 for the meantime.I read somewhere that K550 has some isolation issues, that it can be fixed by trying to bend its headband, yet some people broke their K550's by doing so. El oh el.

So can you recommend me a studio headphone with good isolation with a FR as flat as possible? I'm also considering going the CIEM/IEM path.

Can you do a listening test on the Shure SRH940? They have a very flat FR curve and are closed back for good isolation.

No, not yet. I'll have that a try though. I hope I can find one here in the Philippines or Malaysia/Singapore, when I move there.

I also have my eye on Sony MDR-1R, Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro and M-Audio Q40. Are they any good?

Only head the Custom One Pro once and wasn't all that in love with it. Seemed kind of closed off and boomy to me. Not terrible but not great. For studio monitoring I think the DT660 (closed) or DT880 (open) are better HPs and cheaper to boot. The Custom One Pros seem gimmicky to me.

Thanks man! I'll have a look at the DT660 and DT770's.
