Which one is best for bassheads? Comfort is also a priority. Thanks

S500 bass hits hard (after burn in), but not basshead hard.

Thanks for the response. Have you tried the RP-HX650's?

No, I haven't. Look at these reviews for HX600: http://www.head-fi.org/products/panasonic-rp-htf600-s-step-monitor/reviews. The first reviewer is knowledgeable, and the third reviewer is probably OK. (I haven't read many posts by the others.) If you're thinking of either HX650, I would go with HX600 because it's been reviewed already and I can't find reviews for the other.

I have the Panasonic RP-HX700 red imported from Japan. They are absolutely gorgeous. The sound is quite good and awesome at its price. They are very balanced with a little tilt in the bass for fun (never bloated). I wish the soundstage is better and less resonance with the structure, but they are probably one of the best headphones for $50 USD.
