Replacing headphone cable

I couldn't really find an answer to this one, so I'll try it here (hoping to be in the right place :) ).

I just ordered the Pioneer SE-MJ751 since I've read a lot of good reviews on it, but I also read that the cable isn't the best quality. I started looking for a replacement and my eye fell on the Monster Beats by Dre Studio replacement cables sincs they aren't that expensive online.

Now I was wondering if I got a Monster cable with microphone, will I be able to use microphone/controls(volume control)? The Pioneer SE-M751 doesn't have a microphone/controls in the cable.

Hopefully someone can help me out here, thanks in advance.

Should work fine.  The remote/mic is independent from the earpieces.
