Well the AK100 did not sound stellar and the AK120 did not either to me, so the AK240, based on apparently average DAC chips will need an implementation miracle to sound stellar. And for that price, you can get a Calyx M, a Fiio X5, a DX90 and even maybe a Fiio X7 and still have some spare change...so maybe I will rather do that smily_headphones1.gif

Yes, or perhaps 2 HM-901s, 3 (or 4) DX100s/HDP-R10s, 3 NW-ZX1s, 5 DX90s, or 6 X5s.

So many choices, for $2400...

Hey, that might end up looking like an AK240...

My best calculation is, take the most optimum dap for you and add a TOTL ciem on it. There you go. I am sure you would end up with at least a grand to spare on something extra. Maybe HUGO can put the final point there.

Once we release it, there is no turning back.

Sorry for trolling this thread, I stopped taking this DAP seriously since I know it cost as much as the annual minimum wage here in Chins.

Why would you want multiple DAP's that makes no sense. Also what do you think sounds stellar so we know where your coming from in terms of sonic thoughts?
