I pretty like the Signature of the sound from the AK240, your experience with it has cemented my decision to just go ahead and order balanced cables.

I am deciding between FBI and Toxic Cables, which cable do you have experience with? On a personal note, I prefer Toxic cables as it is aesthetically more pleasing but would like to hear more opinions before going ahead.

Thanks in advance!

Check out http://www.head-fi.org/t/695297/the-new-headphone-lounge-thread Ted's cable are reasonably price, quick delivery and made my AK240 ~ Miracles sound great!

iRiver says 1 GB minium for an update. I leave 2+ usually......right now its 3.25.

I have quite a few option that could play music rather than an iPod.

I'd rather counter propose to you rather than buying an iPod, you'd better off to buy a 240 LOL.

Would the RW mod reduce the play time by consuming more power?
As I read through the description on that page, it seems to echo my thoughts regarding this player...

I think it might as per RW description it delivers more power after the mod.

Same source of energy (the battery) with higher output of course will reduce playtime.

However, I cannot verify this as my 240 is still stock without mod

Anyone here tried the Vorzamp Pure II with the AK240? Wonder if it would bring anything.

I am looking at this amp for the AK120 actually and having read a review which seems pretty good and it is a very compact unit. Below is the link to the review.

On a side note however, have you considering pairing the AK240 to the Cypher Labs duet? I am considering the duet as it can take advantage of the balanced output from the ak240.

Also heard that cl duet is a brilliant pairing with the ak240..but decided against buying a new amp now..the point of getting the ak240 was for it to be a all in one system for on the go use..beats the purpose for me if i add an amp..

You know what? The point of me getting an AK240 was to do away with stacks and be an all in one system as you mentioned but the gadget whore in me loves stacks and gadgets lol!

Anyways I have read many good reviews of the Cypher labs duet especially when paired to lovely DAPs like the AK240. Im now in a psychological turmoil over whether or not to get the duet lol
