"End-game" is overrated wink.gif It's just an illusion, until your next game ender...

Lol, there's no end game unless you're not into this hobby anymore.

I think the main hobby is the music itself, the equipment are just the tools, and how much better can it get without having to listen to boring audiophile recordings only?

Please,some advice needed,

My AK240,seems to have some sort of problem, when i open Android File Transfer on my Macbook,i just get that same old message " No Android device found,Please connect your Android device with a USB cable to get started"

My AK240 is set at MTP and not DAC,this has happened before, and i am not sure what happened or what i did,but worked okay after, this time it seems more permanent, very strange,

Any advice greatly appreciated,

Thanks

That  happens to me one in awhile. You need to restart the computer and take the usb in and out and eventually it finds it problem with my mac as well but seems to be working good now.  it a mac issue not the ak240 for sure.  MAC need to work on the DAC issues and get their computers to recognize the devices.

The same thing happens sometimes with my Windows (XP) computer, too. Not just with the AK240 but any USB device that I plug in (Hard Drives, SD readers, etc.). The second plug-in attempt usually gets them hooked up sucessfully. Seems to be no pattern to the 'temporary blindness'...just unplug and repeat till they start talking to each other.

Oh how dull this is becoming,

Still same message appearing,

Have soft/hard reset both my Macbook and AK240,

I have both the latest Macbook and AK240 software, starting to get really frustrated, especially when you have high end expensive products and this happens,

not impressed,

Any more advice greatly appreciated,

Thank you,

Do you have a Samsung phone with Kies installed? If so please uninstall Kies.

I've never had this problem. I have a MacBook Air 2GHz running OS 10.9.4. I suppose if it did occur, I would disconnect the USB cable and then reconnect (maybe a few times quickly just in case the contacts had become contaminated) to see if this solved the issue. Rebooting my Mac would be next if the reconnections didn't work. I'd also go into Users/Home/Library/Preferences and trash the com.google.android.mtpviewer.plist file. Good luck with a solution and please report back when you find one.

Thank you,

Try the following:

- different USB ports (front/back of computer, USB 2 vs USB3, with a Hub vs without HUB etc)

- different USB cable (stock, cable that came with your HTC, cable that you have lying around)

- different computer/OS (PC/Mac/notebook/win tablet etc)

the more combination you can try, the better you can narrow down what is giving you problem.  Many times changing USB port or cable would fix a USB device issue.  If everything fails, you may have a defective unit and go use your warranty and get a replacement.

The only time I had ATP disconnect/connect/disconnect was due to some other driver module that was interrupting with ATP. In my particular case it was Kies and Kies did say it would affect ATP. So maybe you'll need to check what USB driver modules you have going on installed in your system. Although I don't have any solid reason for believing so, I highly doubt if it's an AK240 specific fault.

Thank you,

All the previous suggestions are valid. However, having a similar problem with my iMac, I can add a couple. 1.) I uninstalled (and deleted from trash) the ATP program and then reinstalled fresh. 2.) I did a reset in the 240 and several files did not reload (most did) ostensibly removing corrupted files I had loaded. Since doing those two, my issues have gone away. Hope something helps, I know how frustrating that hang-up is.
