That's very true

+1. And many times the gear also dictates what we like to listen to. The more reason to collect more gear :-)

So, you do have genre specific gear sets?

Guys i just got my Gold AK240 with AKR03!!! i was wondering what software for Mac are u guys using to edit the metadata (song info and album artwork) for DSD songs? Coz my friend downloaded some for me and the artwork doesn't match the songs. And i want to edit the artist and song name too. thanks.

I found that most of the songs that i copy into are not displayed on the AK240, so i am thinking to factory reset the AK240, will anything be erased? the original preloaded songs and the songs that i copy into will they be gone?

Congratulations.

I'm using the Android app to transfer songs to 240.  There is a link somewhere in this forum that you can down load the app.  The AK site's one is useless.

An excellent utility that I use for tagging is Yate. I don't know if it will work specifically with DSD files but I recommend it for all other file formats. It's $20.00. http://2manyrobots.com/yate/

Couple of questions for existing owners...I've had mine since late April and I've noticed a line / area of discoloration on the body of the ak240 on the front triangular part above the volume knob. I have absolutely babied this expensive device since I got it. Have had it in a case at all times while traveling the couple of times I have taken it out of the house. Has anyone else had this issue? Second, how loose is he volume knob supposed to be? Mine seems looser than normal volume knobs, haven't directly compared to another ak240 though.

Thanks guys,

Y2J

On another note, I just bought the remastered Led Zeppelin from he tracks and the first album sounds great. Not sure I like the mix on the second disc, a lot more distortion in the instruments than the first album.

I use Tag. I think it was free. Works great with flacs. Haven't tried DSD.

Did you get the deluxe or standard version? If the former, what did you think of the bonus tracks?

G'day, I'm a recent owner of an AK240 and have had no issues tranfering AIFF & DFF files from Mac, except I get no album art whatsoever. I'm using the Android transfer app downloaded from the A&K site. So is a utility like this one above required? If so it would be kind handy if A&K made mention of this.

I got the standard, not big enough of a Zeppelin fan to warrant the deluxe version.
