You should check the offer thoroughly -  I just saw a similar offer on german ebay, wanting 1.821 Euro for it. The location of the offer is US.

When you open the offer you will see that you have to import it from the US and pay import tax of - in this case roughly - USD 970 on top.

So - in total this offer adds up to roughly the same price as You normally have to pay.

Please share where you found that out. I'd like to read about it. thanks

I just sent a question about 256GB Micro SDHC card to San Disk company. Let's see what they're going to say about it. If they're going to release it soon, AK240 will become unbeatable in terms of storage capacity. I think it's a matter of time.

They literally just released a 128GB card for crying out loud....

Yeah, we are at least a year away from 256 gig cards.

It took yeaaaaaaaaaars for them to finally get a 128gig card out, so I'm imagining it was a serious challenge. I would not be a tiny bit surprised if we don't see any advances on that for at least the next couple of years. Sorry

What about the other DAPS that use micro cards?

512 Gb capacity is here already... with a MicroSD->SD adapter :D

wow! how does that miro sd to sd adapter work? do you have to install it inside AK240?

Has anyone tried that adapter? or tried to upgrade AK240's built-in HDD? I wonder if there's a way to upgrade AK240's HDD. Ipod Classic can be upgraded with a 500GB Micro SATA SSD.

The adaptor plugs into the microSD card slot. You then have to attach it to the outside of the device.

I don't think there will be any room inside the AK240 to upgrade anything.

I think you're right on that one ...

Awesome. I think it'll look kinda ugly though. I wonder why Astell and Kern guys chose Micro SD instead of regular SD.

It could make it a whole lot better...

I appreciate your interests in SanDisk products. I would like to inform you that we do not have any information about when the 256 GB and 512 GB will be manufactured. I am sure that it will be manufactured going by the speed the technology is changing. Please stay tuned for the available for these.

They will come out some day.. this is a quote from SanDisk people.

Well of course its gonna come out someday.. the question is how long do we have to wait? Also it might be some new MicroSD standard that doesn't work with the current one. But we'll see I guess.
