My post #2137 was to Dixter, so why/how is it the "wrong target"?

Apologies. Just made a pigs breakfast of my posting-see previous (last page too have been corrected).

To sum up-no comments were meant to be directed to you and have amended.

That was a genuine apology to you (burtomr) for an originally misaddressed posting.

You are Forgiven....;)   Dixter on the other hand is still on-the-hook..

Sorry, no AK240 experience here. I've been told all of iRiver "demos" in Japan are out with the magazine reviewers, etc. and none for the likes of me to demo. Of course I probably could rock up into a shop to test but I do prefer a proper loaner to test in controlled environment.

P.S. before anyone asks, no urge to buy to test either.

My wallet's advise to you: don't demo it....

To be honest, the AK240 hasn't really excited me the way it has to the crowd here very simply that for the asking price I (like everyone else) have high expectations from it. I have no doubt it may well be "the best DAP in the market now" but that really doesn't mean much to me.

If I come across it, I'll give it a listen. If not, it hasn't really been a big deal.

True. I can totally relate. Afterall AK240's SQ is not leaps and bounds better than what we had.

And before AK240 "the best DAP in the market" to me was the AK120 considering on top of SQ the form factor, UI, size, battery etc but I was still happy to dump it for a lowly DX50 while keeping hm901 for the best pocketable (albeit barely) sound.

I'm sure there are much more options when we look at portable/pocketable transport+DAC/AMP combos in additional to DAPs.

The following play list formats are supported by the AK240:

M3U : “application/x-mpegurl”

PLS : “audio/x-scpls”

WPL : “application/x-scpls”

Hi Steph86,

Can you please tell me how to create playlists and sync them to the AK240. My Wife's 40th is in a couple of weeks and I really want to create a massive playlist for the party :-)

I think making such a large playlist will be difficult on the device itself.

Additionally I have tried to drag a playlist from the device (using Android File Transfer) but get the message

Could not replace file

Could not copy file "Discoveries"

Where "Discoveries" is a playlist that I have created on the device. JmoonAK - Can you help with this?

Thanks for any help

Conrad

Hi Conrad,

Thanks for your question - I have emailed A&K and will update again shortly with further information on how this can be done.

128GB card available from the above. Wondered if paying £85 is too much for it?

I think it depends on location. I saw US posters saying available for $115 but not posting outside states!!

In Hong Kong I've seen for $899 HK dollers which about 115 US and 68 gbp from jd.com. They may ship but site in Chinese. I will get my wife to translate for me.
