Thanks daseinpdx. ALO quoted me 24 Feb (as a special) 'about' $350 plus cable cost for mod to my existing IE800.

I wonder if someone can help me on this.
I have just replaced my AK120 with an AK240.
When adding albums (FLAC CD rips and 24bit HD Tracks downloads) to the AK 120 I used to drag several albums to the Music folder from my NAS drive at one time and then leave them run for up to 30 mins or so with up to 10 different albums transferring and dropping (at varying speeds) at any one time over that period.
When I perform the same function with the AK240 when I try and drag a 2nd and 3rd album whilst the first album is still transferring I get the message "Waiting. AK240 is busy". As a consequence each dragged album has to drop individually before the next one starts and so on. This is rather frustrating and makes the process of dragging and dropping multiple albums longer with the AK 120.
Am I doing something wrong?

Maybe you can help me with the issue I'm having with the Windows version? It just doesn't start, gives me an error related to c:\Windows\System32\urlmon.dll (can't find access point AppCacheLookup in that dll). I'm on Windows 8.1 x64.

And I second another poster...will that XLR adapter block be sold soon?

What error are you guy's referring too?

Any answer to the 10,000 song limit also being on the AK240 like the others?

Not cheap, and being overseas there will be not negligible additional costs I guess, but I'm thinking about getting that mod done. I wonder how much of an improvement there will be?

a product by 3M...  its one of those sanding blocks...  I pick it up and its the exact same size and shape as the AK 240...  to the tee mind you...strange angles and all....

and yes, even when its just a 3M sanding block it still felt pretty good from an ergonomics stand point   :-)

MQS doesn't start, giving one error related to a dll.

If someone doesn't respond by then, I will be getting my 240 on Tuesday - and I do have well over 10K of songs.   I will post something by Wednesday if someone hasn't already done so.

Why not put the album folders into a new folder called ak240 then copy one folder containing all your albums.
After you have done it just delete the new folder of your computer.
I do this on my mac as Android File Transfer only allows one transfer at a time.
