Prices are still around $20,800 here in Hong Kong and I just found a totally legitimate way to pay $17,200 for gift coupons that are worth $21,000 - that's roughly 2,200 bucks for a brand new AK240 with local warranty. Pretty darn good deal?

Hi Seeteeyou,

May you share your legitimate way ?

Sure, I simply did a search on Google for this and then the first hit was found:

87折 百老匯現金禮券

Probably a gamble if you weren't getting any gift coupons after the deposit is done, LOL

When you brought it up you sounded like you had successfully got them, but now it seems you actually haven't tried it out yourself?

Does DSD really sound better than Redbook lossless on the AK240?

Well DSD sounds so nice on the AK240 i just bought another $500 of SACD's... to rip with my PS3..

I went there and translated the website to English and aside from not having any feedback its says that :

  • Seller is not willing to deliver the goods to other countries

Just FYI, SACD doesn't necessarily automatically mean "better". This is kinda OT so maybe you could search more info about SACDs or DSDs on HF, or alternatively to PM me.

It looks like the AK240 do NOT allow to browse through album arts like iTune or (bellow) Calyx ?  "

This is really disappointing.  Now they have the screen's real estate for doing this screen bellow instead !  ( This is a fake made by me)

So please M. Iriver, do something about this... :D

Showing cover art in library scrolling just increases the toll on the CPU and reduces battery life. I know my Sony F807 hates scrolling through album art and there is considerable lag.

Well, it can be a toggle switch in the parameters of the UI. People choose....

How better is the dac in the AK-240 then the AK-120. If you have smart phone, Do you think you need all the features.

As I'm in the UK the price of these are £2200. I think that's a crazy amount to pay for one. I've been looking on line and the cheapest I can get it imported is £1650 from this site

http://www.exportprive.com/en/101374-iriver Has anyone used them before? I've also asked them to lower the value as well.
