bloody hell, DX90 is not letting me revert back to the older 2.0 firmware, saying no firmware is found, i'm stuck with this uninspiring new sound until ibasso improve it in later firmware... Except that there was nothing that needed improving in the sound of the original firmware, way to go ibasso...

Maybe you should try flashing it with RKbatchtool, I think it should work. Someone posted link to "DX90 Tools" few post earlier.

It's linked-through at the very start of the thread, now, but here's the link anyway:

Mind you that this could result in a bricked device, if they have changed the security key. Depends on how they implemented Android, locked or unlocked bootloader, new bootloader in new firmware etc.

Don't say I didn't warn you.;)

Are you a programmer? (genuine question)

Report: Jobs done. Revert back to 2.0.0 FW

edit: The ss of the original FW is way better than the 2.0.5.

Hope the 2.0.5 is just a beta firmware like the 1.23beta on DX50.

Oops,I did not upgrade lmao. Version 2.0 sounds divine, maybe we should call the DOC for some firmware help. biggrin.gif

I have to say iBasso firmware upgrade is anything but boring, always some excitement after the storm. smily_headphones1.gif

It'd be against their well established naming convention. The 1.23b was purposely named that way because of experimentation but the DX90 product is a more mature product or so we thought. I am afraid it's not a beta but an early adoption version (some semantic divergence here). iBasso did it again. wink.gif

No, but I worked for Motorola Mobile for 2 1/2 years. I'm more of an implementation/support than development guy.:)

Good to know that it worked. For now I think I'll stay on 2.0.0. Nothing wrong with that IMHO.

I missed the well improved UI.. but this dap is for me to listen to music instead of playing around with the UI.

So I'll just wait for another FW update or wait for mixed FW by DOC
