Yeah, I'm hoping Jamato posts his review before the 7th of April. I need something to tide me over until the release date! popcorn.gif

I am sorry, just so tired. Had to do a medevac yesterday along with work and only have so many hours of reserve in me.

What does surprise me is that using the Dx90 at a volume of 240 getting the HE560 pretty loud, they do not distort, meaning the internal amp isn't running out of steam. It is like iBasso has built you a really, really great dac section and a really, really great amp section or you have a stacked unit all in the same place, for once.

With the Fostex TH900 I am back down to around 210, some times higher sometimes lower, depending on the music and the sound is wonderfully open and detailed with very fine layering and imaging. I have mentioned this before but the 90 is able to keep instruments or voices in their place and yet the dynamics roll without any muddiness in the frequency/sound. Nothing smothers other areas of the recording. In using the line out, this maintains, meaning to me that the dac section is superb and that the internal amp section can keep up with it.

Sounds somewhat similar to how the DX100 sounds.

To me, the DX90 sounds like no other dap, which is good. I used to play SAX and a good sax would sound different from another one but two good ones were still great fun.

More comparisons vs. DX100, Jamato, would be most appreciated.

I'm starting to feel sorry for Jamato, aah, the joys of being on the inside. I emailed iBasso and they have said that due to demand they are going to supply the first ones alphabetically, cheers, Aaron Aardvark

hahaha good one, but no my name isn't Zach :p

I just think that's not really fair to sell based on the buyers' name's alphabet.

If they allocated numbers to countries/areas, or simply make it first come first serve and limit the number that the same paypal email can buy, then imo it would be fairer..
