I think that in the DAP there is no place for wi-fi

It could still be a sponsored publicity stunt

I hope. At this rate the DAP market is going to hit 10k by next year.

Just look at what the iBasso are offering for $419  :beerchug:

We should probably not derail this thread anymore.

Back to the DX90...

Will you get DX90 or at least give it a try like you did with X5?
I doubt I will get it...do not like thw design much and memory is too small for me.I would bet it sounds great, but now the only DAP I need would replace 901, ZX1, meaning sound awesome, have a great UI, have 256g memory, have a line out. Betting on the Cowon.

Based on the recently released spec sheet on the new cowon, there appears to be an optical out, but sadly no line out to be seen =/

I love how people complain about only having one uSD slot, meanwhile i get by with a 16GB uSD, and i barely listen to everything i have in there... Oh, and i also have a music library over 1TB. I'd rather have a player that last longer than the usual (or i can swap batteries), instead of having massive amounts of storage. Having my whole library with me would be retarded (to me at least...), and putting the Hi-Res files in there would be kinda of an overkill (though i do have a few of those inside, but they usually don't get higher than 48/24).

But oh well, to each his own i guess...

I just found this in my Photoshop program, after I'd been reading the 'AK480' (April Fools) thread. I don't know how it got there, but I thought I should share it with you anyway :D

The people moaning about only one slot probably don't realise the X5 has no internal memory at all!

With respect, that's completely irrelevant, since the X5 has 2 µSD slots.

Yes two uSD slots is better than 1, like two heads is better than one, however you still have to switch from one card reader to the other when browsing or even with the library list function, at the time I evaluated it you couldn't merge the two slots together because of complications doing that. If the scanning ability of the player is improved, I don't see switching cards as a big cons. Now with larger cards, you can definitively be busy for hours on end listening to music so not such huge deal after all. That we want it or not, we'll always find faults with everything we see even if we think it's complete something later coming on the market will make us say it's lacking.

JFTR, though, I have used a J3 for the past 3 yrs or so and that has 32gb onboard, and a 64gb µSD, so I am completely accustomed to manually browsing the card as a seperate directory from the onboard memory, and it doesn't bother me.

I did not think you were. We keep forgetting quickly that not so long ago we had tiny storage space. Things have progressed tremendously, great time to be alive with all those sophisticated gadgets.
