iBasso DX90. Dual Sabre, 1st page latest FW download & general information/instructions . . . . .... - Page 90

Well, we're all human, and, in spite of differing opinions about missing features and design decisions, I'm guessing pretty-much all of us here want to see the DX90 perform well & sell well.

Not for me, I like my home comforts.

Those hairshirt DAP's  like the Tera really don't appeal to me at all.

This thread is awesome!
We've come such a long way compared to the Walkman days, people seriously complaining about the inconvenience of carrying something no bigger than a fingernail?

Are the complainers in this thread the same people that yell at their phone when the signal drops?

We all have our opinions and for some their standards are quite high, I admire that. If anytime we need to speak up and make a point we were asked to leave, this board would be an isolated island. Let's embrace different view points and be in harmony with each other, we are all admirers of great sound and foremost music lovers. beerchug.gif

Hi guys...

Total noob here so go easy on me. I've been following some of these new DAP threads for a few days now. The reason I want one of these is to use at work and also in my car.

No does anyone use these in their cars? Are these good options for that application or should I be looking for a different product? Yes I have an aftermarket stereo if that's of any importance.

I realize this is more of a general question and might not be in the right spot but the DX90 is definitely on my short list...

Thanks!

i wonder how many 'adult' customers were inconvenienced by the firmware issues with the dx50. well i'm sure ibasso have learned and will not repeat the same with the dx90. companies learn a lot from listening to their customers and ibasso is i think one of them so let people share their views/needs/dreams/criticism - we all benefit from it. the childish thing is to tell someone to leave this thread because they don't like a product.

Hi Twinky!

Welcome to Head-Fi!  Sorry about your wallet!

Please pay no mind to the recent posters.  Their "Urinary Olympic Competition" is probably due to the impatience we all feel waiting for iBasso to release the DX90.:deadhorse:

As far as your question, these types of DAPs (including almost guaranteed the DX90:D) will work just fine in a car as long as you have an "Aux" input jack or something like that (my Honda Civic has one).  I would recommend using the "Line Out" of the DAP and not the "Headphone Out" so you can control the sound quality via your car stereo controls.  I've used several different DAP brands in my car.  It's really great when I have a 12 hour playlist for a twelve hour trip!

So yes, you can enjoy your music in the car as well as at home or walking around.  That's actually what I plan to do with mine.  Hope that helps...

Cheers!:beerchug:

Thank you very much HK_sends

I didn't see any reason why this wouldn't work... but nice to get confirmation before dropping a few $$$. I do have an aux as well so no issues there.

My initial plan was to upgrade the deck in my car but for whatever reason technology doesn't seem to be moving all that fast in that department!! With this at least I'll be able to use it in multiple locations as well.

We all have differing opinions and I'm sure some would say this is overkill for a vehicle but it's all good fun...toys are toys.

It's what makes you happy that counts.  I don't see it as overkill at all.  Overkill is someone listening to a DAP while playing a game on his laptop, skyping with his opponent on a tablet and texting his girlfriend over the phone to tell her he'll be late to pick her up.  And no, it wasn't me.

Cheers!:beerchug:
