iBasso DX90. Dual Sabre, 1st page: Downloads, info & instructions- New dac software! & 2.1.5 FW.... - Page 456

joined the club today, I am happy I don't have any hissing issues anymore like I had with the dx50. That and the DX90 sounds so much better than the DX50 with my westones.

Hello everyone, i'm new here, i've just buy the dx90 and i have a few question, if someone can help (or give a link of one of these 450 pages where i'm pretty sure those topics were been already discuss) would be really appreciated:

Is normal to have only 5.7GB available on 8?

what exactly is the function usb OTG?

and the most important thing, about the DAC function, correct me if i'm wrong, should give the possibility to the dx90 to act like an "external sound card" when connected to the PC, so should became an audio output selectable form the pc (right?).

I've installed the last firware 2.1.0 and i have win7 64 bit, only connecting the usb cable with the DAC option selected it fail to install (found) drivers, i've also download the drivers form ibasso website but running the application found into the 64x folder it starts an installation process (without specifying nothing) then nothing happens.

Tnx for the help

Btw, pretty good stuff this little boy :dt880smile:

I have 5.72. That's normal.
Yes, a dac is like an external sound card, but it's still in its beta stage. You have to disable signature driver enforcement
Don't forget to turn it on USB DAC mode also

Where  should i disable signature driver enforcement? u mean in the dx90 itself or with some software downloaded from the website? ( if is the second i can found only 3 setup.exe doing what i described before and nothing else)

Nevermind i realized only now is something of windows, ok tnx i'll try

Ok i have deactivated the signature driver enforcement, the installation process of the software still proceed to the 100 % without any trouble (like without deactivating the signature driver) no confirmation, no clue on what it is installing since there is only a green bare reaching 100% without show any file or folder being installed.

After that, connecting the dx90, even to different Usb ports, nothing happens, i've tried to run the install with the dx90 connected and disconnected, the dx90 is of course setted on DAC, and i've tried even entering in the function usb on the go before connecting the device but nothing... am i missing something?

check your drivers in the device manager and manually install the drivers from there

Jollyrogerbay, have a good read of that page re Driver signature Enforcement. There was a post on the thread about it, with instructions I think, somewhere in the last 10 pages.

There you go:-)

Solution 100% function is normal boot:

1. Run dseo13b.exe program - http://www.ngohq.com/?page=dseo
2. click "enable test mode". This allows 64 bit Windows 7 to be used for testing drivers
3. Now open Device Manager and find the location of the unsigned drivers that wont work, by expanding Properties and Driver Details. Your looking for something like C:\Windows\System32\drivers\xxxxxxx.sys
4. Run dseo13b.exe program again
5. This time select "sign a system file" and put in the location of the file you found in Device Manager
6. Repeat for all files in question then close. You have now assigned a signature to those files
7. Reboot

Come on dude you really think that will help? If he is having trouble "emptying trash" on MacOSX, do you really think deleting osx and installing Linux is as simple as it gets?

Try googling for a change, you can get MacOSX to read ntfs file system.

Hi,

I am wondering if you are also noticing that high frequency response of DX90 is so good that it hurt ears.

I try to play with equalizer to reduce any thing above 1K but it still sounds bad.

This is my second DX90 with latest firmware and new samsung battery. I did not have same issue with first DX90 I had. Any opinion will be appreciated.

Thanks

Anil

Grado GS-1000 is a bright headphone. Not sure about TF10 or 4R. I have a Roxanne and a SR325e. 325e is bright and on similar SQ with your GS1000 and I understand it could get harsh on the high freq ranges. But not on my Roxanne.

It must be your phones, or you are too sensitive to high frequencies?

Well, not trying to be one. I am just pointing out that what he is asking you to do is burn down your house and rebuild from scratch. When you can easily accomplish the same thing by just finding the right key to a locked door.
