HM901 is around the same price as 120, although they might sound better there are compromises such as poor battery life, brick size and their UI which AK does better. I don't see many complaining about the pricing for HM901 compared to the 120.

And these are businesses. They market for a wider global coverage to earn more revenue. It's only normal marketing strategy for businesses as to what they are doing. FiiO and iBasso should do the same IMO.

But beware, one company's margin is another company's opportunity.

Tbh I would rather want to have dac functionality than OTG, that's just me.

Oh yes you can. I do that every day with the Nexus 7 tablet in my car utilizing a Stoner DAC to feed the AUX input while being charged. You just need a cheapo adapter like this one.

Nope, I already asked. As a PB2 owner I would have loved a balanced LO but there simply isn't room for it.

Soren what I meat is you can't power the DX50 while the external hdd is connected to the DX50 at the same time but if your contraption can do it, can you please show me how I can connect it with this setup in order to provide the power the DX50 needs (a picture would be great)?

The thing I posted is a Y-split OTG adapter. Besides the USB A female for connecting the disk, you get a microUSB female for connecting a power supply.

Thanks, I guess I was worried about powering up the dap and the USB drive and not fry one or the other.
I could also make one myself knowing the pin designations.

I have read that the Fostex 900's don't really need to be recabled but they did change with the new Whiplash gold plated silver. Music just gets better and better.

With everything being resolved all the more, these cables really benefit what I listen to. Interesting how audio, for the most part, gets better, bit by bit. :^)

Gotta link?

Per the Whiplash website (as of today), don't see any Gold plated silver, just copper: V3 is gold plated copper. There is a V2 with 1% Gold mixed with Silver. Don't see any Gold plated silver, just copper.

Don't think it's up for sale just yet. V3 is great but this new one is clearly better

It will be going up pretty quick. To my ears, this is the most natural cable I have heard.

Porks live in parliaments = summary of pretty much every country :happy_face1:. However this going way out of topic, I would suggest not to derail the anymore.

We have a nice info on dac chip implementation. How will be the power section of this device? Any info on output power?

Lame. Why do we have to guess? Do you know how many countries have 'parliaments'?.....over 70!

Nothing changes, folks.

It was just the same in ancient Rome.

There's actually a very famous political caricature by the British satirical artist James Gillray, entitled 'More Pigs than Teats', which was aimed precisely at the self-serving greedy 'pigs' in Parliament, when it was published in 1806. I wouldn't normally post something this off-topic, but I think you'll agree it is extraordinarily apt, even 200 years later!:

I reckon our Danish Head-fiers should have this print on their wall (or at least send one to their local member of parliament!)
