Yes you are missing something obviously. I was referring to MacOSX trash. When you delete a file from a USB storage (DX90 is one) from a Mac it does not actually delete the files until you empty the Mac OSX trash (equivalent to Windows recycle bin). It may appear there are no files from finder but the actual space is is still occupied by the files showing up from the trash.

Do not disconnect the DX90 from Mac until you empty the trash or the files will not be deleted.

not sure, but that was awhile ago… files are long deleted…. dx90 hard drive looks empty… But when I check info it says 6.14 gigs on drive.

Man I'm getting confused.

Wow. My 128 gb card takes about two to three minutes to scan, and I have the card almost completely filled with a ton of stuff on it. I wonder why there's such a wide variation.

Stock battery is disappointing. Lasted only 5.5 hrs at work. Waiting for these to arrive - http://www.ebay.com/itm/281157227497

Looks like the regular size version of the 5500 mAH battery, that someone here got from jaben, china.

I've got approximately 60 gb of wav files on my card, and besides the initial, first time scan which took much longer as the card was being formatted, each subsequent scan, even after adding new music, takes less than 10 seconds.  However, I don't have any album art, so I'm thinking that this is likely a factor?

Yeah, I think is the album arts fault~~Maybe I need to do some experiments on it with another card

Ok… so… can anyone tell me how to erase internal data when nothing shows up anywhere? Already did a factory reset, that didn't help (although it cautions "all data will be lost"). Again, my mac is telling me there's 6.11 gigs being used on disc. I can't find it, see it or erase it.

Ah, yeah, that must be the reason. I don't have that much album art.

Thanks. Now ordered.

I still don't know how you know if you actually get an original battery, given the plethora of batteries out there ALL claiming to be genuine and with a big difference in prices. This seems to be on the low side as regards price.

It is a nightmare for the consumer

You're welcome. :)

Based on the criteria given for determining fake Samsung batteries, the "Made in Japan" battery received from this seller definitely seems to be genuine, and it gave a noticeable boost to sound quality. I hope your experience will be the same.

Ok… can someone help me here… I've connected to a pc but no nothing about PC's… or what i should be deleting for that matter.  In the dx90 folder is the following:

.album_img

.fseventsd

.spotlight-v100

.trashes

._.trashes

What do I delete to clear the hard drive? All? Save anything? Thanks in advance.
