I just got my Ibasso DX90 today and I was wondering if the center play button had a different feel than the forward/reverse button. If I push the play button directly in the center, it feels like it doesn't "click" as much as the forward/reverse button. It feels "dull". But if I push it slightly more towards the bottom, it has a similar click compared to the forward and reverse button. Thanks!

I think, that Samsung Japan/China batteries was first production until end of 2012.
Here is one Ebay seller, that sell Japan/China batteries:

Send me the Japanese version and I will add it to the collection. :^)

It would be nice to find the Japanese version at a reasonable price. So far I am very happy with the made in Korea cell and find it is well worth the minimal investment. More of an improvement than most anything else I have tried.

They should arrive in a couple of days and then I'll will confirm that they are Japanese:

I just bought one of those, I have a genuine cell made in Japan Samsung S3 battery at the moment (came with phone), so I will be able to tell if this new one is genuine from its sound and build. Although it does seem a bit cheap to be genuine, but I guess its still possible since the S3 is now a fairly old model and they could be selling cheap

haii..can someone tell me good head amp without dac for dx90 in range $100-$120?
i am curently using westone 4 for iem

I might be wrong but I dont think the DX90 needs an amp to drive the Westone 4.  I dont need an amp for the Ety er4s with the Dx90 and they are probably a bit harder to drive than the W4.

I cant see any amp in that pricerange bettering the build in amp. The only real reason I'm using my SR71-B with the DX90 is because I allready had it and my phones are balanced, I would probably never haf gone out and bought an amp for the DX90

Regarding the Battery I own the 2 Samsung's The Korean and Japan made cell

Though both are a zillion times then the pissen i dint notice a lot of difference between the 2 but maybe the Korean made has a bit more detail and sounds bright compared to the Japan made cell. I may be wrong here as the difference is almost negligible.

also will someone please compare the 2.0.5 DX90 vs the new DX50 1.5.0
and is there a new fw coming for the DX90?

Regards
Bharat Singh

A Question on Using an Headphone external amp with the dx90

I find myself with something of a brainfart on this topic: :D

if I use an external amp through the LO of my DX90 does this then 'bypass' the DAC chip/internal amp in the DX90 and thus you are hearing the sound of the external amp ONLY
OR are you getting a 'mix' of the specific qualities of the DX90 DAC chip and the Chip/amp/circuitry of the external amp as well

I appreciate the extra levels which is great for using my DT880 cans - The sound is certainly a tad colder, more analytical but not in an unpleasant way...just different
(I use neco soundlab - Dual single channel  BurrBrown dual mono AD8610)

IMHO, the second (without DAC, you have NO analog sound converted from digital, after all - and an external amp is not a DAC)
