Mine left customs in HK - looks like it will be on a plane to Los Angeles in an hour or two. Based on my tracking of a DHL Express item I received earlier in the year - I should get it tomorrow! (Damn - I won't get my 3 64gb Samsung MicroSD cards until Saturday)
 
Oh well, it has 8gb onboard memory - now I get to pick what music to squeeze into my new DAP - a nice problem to have :D

I just got this email from iBasso: Our courier replied that your shipment 'will be proceeded to DHL tomorrow'
Unfortunately this makes not much sense. |No idea what that even means?! - I still dont know where the thing is? Its either here tomorrow or will take another 7 days due to easter - In which case I will be looking for compensation - Even when it arrives there is  chance it may no be fit for purpose if my dx50 was anything to go by ):

I am happy to say that I got the player but it's sitting in the driveway apparently. It's very cold out there (temperature dropped a good 30F compared to couple of days ago). I asked the neighbor to find a temporary home for the poor shivering player until I get home.

Well, I just listened to James Taylor singing Steamroller Blues, and now Country Road. I've never heard James like this. His voice is relaxed and clear as a whistle. Voice and music are simply gorgeous. It's just clear. Eva Cassidy and Meloda Gardot were the same this afternoon. 
 
I'm delighted with this thing. Well done iBasso.

I think I am going to let it burn overnight, I also need to add a few test songs I used with the X5 and having still the mental sound picture of it, I'll be in a better position. I know for a fact the X5 sounded different after a week of constant use.

musicheaven: Nice, mine just cleared Customs in Los Angeles and is scheduled for delivery in Portland tomorrow. Look forward to your impressions. I ordered the X5 after reading (amongst others) your review and look forward to comparing and enjoying both!

A couple questions for the rest if you lot...

1. Does anyone who's received theirs in the US know how I'll be notified if their are customs fees?

2. I had to reroute to my home instead of work, which is closed tomorrow for Good Friday. Both are in the Portland metro area. Anyone know of this'll delay delivery?

I hope to be chillin' out with the DX90 tomorrow while the kiddies are napping :).

DHL texted me to be ready for a delivery tomorrow - really fast shipping when it actually gets in DHL's hands. Purchased late Friday night, the 11th - at my door early in the am on the 18th - neat.

DHL usually delivers and mails you a letter later on for the duty - I can't think it will be much.

Thanks, just so you know the X5 is no slouch. I am sure you'll appreciate it, I certainly did.
 
As far as customs fees, if you had any you would have been told by now. Can't say anything about re-routing a delivery, I tend to stick to plans because of fear of delaying it.
 
I hope you'll get yours tomorrow, everyone deserves a great musical time.

P.S. I want to know what you think of DX90 vs X5, I kind a have an idea but you'll be in a better position to tell.
