DX90 having arrived at Gatwick from Heathrow this morning and being a busy 80 minute drive away, I assumed it was safe to go out for an hour. Being paranoid, I checked status as soon as got out of car, and it said signed for by 'my surname'. It certainly hadn't as wife at work. Luckily I left a note on door saying please leave package behind brickwork of bay window just in case, and it awaited me as I hurried home. Seems to have bypassed my 2 local DHL depots and made an 60 mile journey in record time.

Very light weight compared to my X5, my only DAP to compare with, easy to use in 5 minutes although less options and settings than X5. I can never get a screen on without one bubble even with credit card!

Very early sound impressions, bearing in mind I'm pleased with the X5, and only playing hi-res music that had for a week, airier and lighter tone.

Maybe not massive change but I keep turning the volume up! Last time I felt like that was when I added a Rega DAC to my streamer and it added a more open organic sound.

Playing a few old albums from Dire Straits and Cream, I am much more aware of the analogue hiss from their recordings which suggests an extended treble which will be nice.

Most encouraging first half hour:beerchug:

I feel for you, hope you get it in the morning. After a slow start it certainly moved around today.

Quick question for other recipients, is there meant to be any Quick Start, User manual, anything?

Without reading this forum, I would never have known what the burn-in cable was.

Typical iBasso, the manual becomes available way later after the product is released.

I honestly think iBasso really has to put some work into their organisational skills.. sonically they may be really good, but that alone cannot make the best company.. anyway... back to the waiting.. (Thanks Andrew!)

The wait is killing me as well.

Shipped on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 11:56 AM, but no further updates from DHL.
I'm in New Jersey.
Hope to see it before the weekend.

Mine's showing it's in Cincinnati at the moment - (but I won't get it for at least a couple of weeks).

Let me know when you get yours, please. I'm very curious as to what import duties get charged this time. Usually nothing from iBasso gets tagged, but I think it's always been EMS, not DHL, in the past for me.

So moral of the story, don't order from iBasso.

Not so fast mate, it's disappointing to have delays in shipping especially if you are excited about it but sh** happens. It would be bad if it happens to everyone, but it just happen Fardar sucked at what they do. I believe iBasso has done a good job rectifying the issue as fast as they can.

So calm down a bit you'll get your DX90 soon. This is nothing compared to the waiting time I had to endure with my Roxanne (2 and a half months when they initially promised 6 weeks) and very poor handling of customer communications. There are a few braves souls out there still waiting for about 6 months now and counting.

iBasso I assume is much smaller as a company compared to JH audio but managing things pretty well.

Has everybody out there received their shipping details? Has anyone ever received their unit without getting any shipping details?

I ordered mine within a couple of hours of the release- and I have gotten nothing. Ive sent several emails- nothing. Everyone else seems to be receiving their units and/or tracking info. Am I alone here?

I would really appreciated some information here.

Thanks,

Andy

Andy, probably quite a few others have not seen any updates yet, but I understand that doesn't do much to make you feel better. There have been a few comments (buried now) where DX50 owners said they received their order before seeing any shipping status updates! Keep in mind also that items are still moving through the system sometimes, but each change may not get immediately entered. Also, depending on how the DHL tracking system works, it may take a while for updates to actually show up on the "customer" tracking portal. I get this very frequently even with domestic FedEx, UPS, and USPS shipments. I use different business "enterprise" applications at my work, so I am (unfortunately) well-versed on how long some database changes may take to appear on the customer/end-user side. Hang in there. I didn't see any change in status on my order for the first few days myself.
