That would be the kingdom of Denmark. :-)

For instance, when we buy a car we pay the price of the car, and then a mere 180% of the price of the car on top of that in taxes. At least we have bacon...

And then 25% on top of all that in sales tax so effectively we buy one car and pay for three ...

Funnily enough, never saw anyone poor from Denmark.

Its that special bacon I guess....

I just asked iBasso about the DX90 shape, content and the like. Their answer is pretty simple: the DX90 will share the exact housing, button and opening placements than the DX50 (that includes the micro SD card input) so as far as buttons and I/O we are talking about the same thing with the only difference being the internals and the backplate having the DX90 markings.

Cool beans, I get to keep my IC's and whatnot

DX90 (500usd) - DX50 (239usd) = 261usd worth of sound improvement....in other words, it is 112% improvement over the DX50

I will be losing sleep to fantasize about that. :p

by the way, I am just playing....

There are poor people in Denmark but yes the income level in general is higher than many other places to compensate the high taxation level. Not all that good for producing and exporting stuff though

sorry quite the contrary, I am lousy in Maths because I fail to consider the golden rule of "diminishing return".....It takes a great deal of engineering and cost to improve the SQ

Never a straight linear curve, ..100 to ..120 not as linear as one would have thought. I'll take the small increase with the big guns in a small package any days. biggrin.gif

Nah, it should be expressed as +3.26dB sound improvement. ;)

Yeah, but i really have issues paying that kind of money for a device which doesnt even have a proper amp section or a line out.   I own an AK100 and it is fine for IEMs, but not for full-sized cans.

I hope the X5 is better than the X3, cos the latter's poor interface makes it  virtually useless.

Just stumbled on to this thread.  As a happy DX100 owner and one who skipped on the DX50, my (short) wish list:

-  100% Reliable UI,  which I do not feel iBasso has achieved yet.  My iRiver H140 hasn't crashed or hung up in ten plus years.  C'mon guys, you can do it!

-  Optical out preferred over coax alone.

Looking forward to the release....
