I haven't had a chance yet.

I use Anker batteries. I got some on ebay from Anker, in 4400uA as they pay the shipping, and a couple of the Anker batteries on Amazon.com in 2200uA. They have all worked fine and you get the charger with them.

Read E-mail got happy.  Got me good. lol :D

The 7200mah battery is a completely different beast to the 4400mah battery - the 7200mah is actually 2 different-sized batteries 'stuck together' (professionally, by the factory, but still, it's a 'sandwich'):

Here's the 4400mah version (which is basically a thicker version of the standard battery):

...and here's the 7200mah battery:

I'm not saying you cannot use the 7200mah battery, but you'd certainly need to check that the DX50/90 will allow it to insert properly, without obstructing the larger parts of the battery (obviously, we're talking about the back cover not being used, but still, you'd need to check before buying one of these batteries).

Thanks Mython

Is the default ibasso battery 2200mah?

@jamato8 if you get to, please kindly test to see how long the DX90 lasts on 4400 :p

I am contemplating whether to get a 4400 or 7200 in due course..

Approximately 2200mah, yes (basically the same as a standard Samsung Galaxy S3 battery, but not made by Samsung)

I like the 4400uA with and using the silicon back. Don't know about the 7200mA battery and fit.

JFYI, here's Musicheaven's pic of the standard DX50 battery:

Yes, I would go for a 4400, and carry the 2200/2100 as a back-up. I would personally not bother with the enormous 7200 at all.

Lol I had a little chuckle I said to myself that looks awfully familiar and I don't have the DX90. biggrin.gif

I have spares as well and just rotate them. When not in use they are charged so I have never gone the larger battery size because I can literally run 10 hours without stopping and that's beyond my tolerance for long listening sessions. smily_headphones1.gif

Yeah, I think the primary motivation for anyone bothering with a 4400mah cell is if they are using a power-guzzling Meenova USB-OTG microSD card reader to supplement the memory capacity of the onboard microSD card.

Yeah you are right I have one and gave up on it because of that, now with the 128gb I ordered I won't even sweat it and I'll switch my 2 64 gb for some surprise playlists I just have to get used to carrying a few around but again when I create the card song list I vary the selection so much that one is usually enough, I don't end up switching that often. Right now people are eying my DX50 stack on the subway and I don't like it because you don't know if you'll deal with a professional pick pocket ready to pounce on your stack. With the DX90 at least I can go slimmer without the amp and hide this fellow from view. tongue.gif

A review sample!?
Oh you're a lucky man.
Please let us know how superior the dx90 is.

And god please make tomorrow as 7th of april.

Do you think this can be a good(or more) than a 3 stack(solo+amp) ipod rig? Really thinking of this.
