I gave been looking for some decent but cheap earphones for cycling to work. I have pretty much narrowed it down to a few options Fischer consonance or silver bullets, RHA Ma450i or Marshal minor's. I understand a lot is subjective but I will welcome any advice or opinions. I am looking for good staging as well as sound and pretty robust build quality as well. Any comments on the above models or some alternatives are welcome.

Sub £50 I really like the NuForce NE-700x and the Klipsch S4 Reference.

The NuForce are around £42. The Klipsch retails for a bit more than £50, but is pretty easily found for around £45 online.

Of the two I prefer the NuForce, but both offer a tremendous bang for the buck. Both are rugged, but on that front I'd give the edge to the NuForce for their metal construction.

Only issue would be that with the proper tips, both models isolate extremely well... I cycle too and wouldn't use either for fear I wouldn't be able to hear what was going on around me.

Thanks, I'll look in to them. The isolation issue was one of the reasons I was looking at the Marshall minors. Apart from Amazon reviews I can't find anything that compares them with the Fischer's.
