Recommendations for a new closed-back headphone w/amp for $300

I'm looking to upgrade my current set of cans and am looking for a new closed-back headphone and possibly a new amp for around $300 total. I have been looking at headphones such as the m100s, Beyer COP, DT770, or K550/545/701. Any recommendations/opinions on those and/or amp recommendations?

I listen to just about everything, so an all around balance and clarity throughout lows, mids, and highs is what I'm potentially looking for.

Audio Technica ATH-A900X closed headphones, $220.

Hifiman Velour ear pads, $10+shipping.

What sources will the headphones be plugged into?

I own the AKG K550, great headphones, easy on the ears, but the A900X has more "life" to it's music.

But the K550 are selling used on eBay for $154 or less.

I would be buying them off of amazon because I have $255 dollars in amazon gift cards. $255 (or a little more) would be about my maximum. Would getting the K550's and a FiiO E6 amp be a decent option? Or would i be better off getting a cheaper pair with a better dac and/or amp (because i was looking at the DT 770 Pro 250ohm)?

The DT770 pro 250-ohm headphones are good, but the K550/A900X are better.

A FiiO E07K could be used with all of your devices.

FiiO E6 might not be worth bothering with.
