grizzlybeast, you really wanna make me get both those Yamaha MT220 and Pandora VI haha.
Bass is a difficult range to describe because there's so much stuff going on there. Ideally I'd want bass that thumps/punches hard, ie. has hard impact (HD25's bass characteristics with more subbass), nice balance between sub and midbass and good texture (not too sloppy but not too dry either, somewhere in-between but rather slightly drier than slightly too reverby) and bass that I can feel.
As far as the rest of the range goes, I just want as balanced mids and highs as possible with as good quality as possible but bass is an important range for me due to the music I listen to.
EDIT: Finally placed an order on the Yamaha, maybe sometimes in future the Pandora VI. Just feels like I need to try out MT220 first to get a good idea if it's for my taste or not as it's much cheaper, in europe the Yamaha is a bit cheaper too, £129 GBP / 160€, damn! (some ~50 EUR cheaper than the usual US to europe pricing comparison so with that pricing it's definitely worth owning one whether it fits my personal taste or not).
yeah it was a tricky can for me.
anyway the pandora would fit the above.
