Need advice on options for a custom iem with Unique Melody

Hey, Head-fi
I'm thinking of going for my first ciem
I want to get my tf10 remolded, should I get a tfx3 or tfx4
And would merging the tf10s with my ue700 and then adding an extra driver to make a tfx6 be a viable option?
Thanks

eh....I'm somewhat uncomfortable with the idea of combining 2 IEMs into 1 body. You have absolutely no idea how the tuning will come out. It can swing either way and, IMO, not a good investment to spend so much and have no control over the sound quality.

Thanks for the reply
I guess I'll be going for a x3 or x4
Do you have an idea of which would be better?

Do you mean the TF10x4 and the UE700x3?

I have to say that there is a lot of love for the TF10 here at Head-fi, and there certainly are many here who had gone to reshell their TF10s. UE700 don't really get much hype here. So IMO, if you want to reshell one of them, I'll go with the TF10 reshell. As for adding in drivers, I'm not sure of the process and how it is implemented, but you have to bear in mind that with a new driver, it could mean that the sound signature is changed. If you are prepared to deal with that then go with it.

Some emails exchange with Stephen Guo (A rep from UM) would probably help to clarify some of the ambiguous stuff like the implementation of additional drivers.
