I need to replace my V moda Crossfade Lp with more comfort

Budget - $200 to $350

Source – Ipod Classic, iPhone 4s , HP Pavilion M6 Laptop  (I hope the
headphone can be powered without amp if possible)

Requirements for Isolation – I would like some noise isolation if
possible I will mostly be using my headphones in my Dorm or college
library

Requirements for Pads: Velvor if possible Due to long term comfort

Preferred Type of Headphone – Full Sized (Closed Over ear Headphones)

Preferred tonal balance –I love the Bass on the V moda's eventhough
that was my first over ear headphone purchase so Im not sure if I'm a
Basshead

Past headphones – Past Headphones ( V-moda Crossfade LP)

Pros of the V Moda Crossfade LP:

     -Bass

-Detachable Short Cord length w  (important for portability in between classes)

Cons

-Long Term Comfort(Ear burning after long term use)

Preferred Music – Hip-Hop , Rap , Sirius Xm (Chill Channel), RnB

Some types of Songs I listen to

Toro Y Moi - So Many Details

Joey Badass – 95 till infinity
Epik High – Over

Blackmill – Let it Be

Thanks

If you like M80 apart from the comfort, M100 should do it for you. No velour pads, though. For that, see DT770-32.

M80 is on ear; M100 is over ear.

get the V-Moda M100 Over-Ear + XL pads. you'll get an improvement in sound quality + comfort. If you were able to suffer through the LP shallow earcup depth, the XL pads will be like heaven for you.

What do you think about the Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro?

I could add velvor pads to them

Some have said that the COP bass port doesn't do much (especially compared to K267). I haven't heard either. Also maybe you could add velours to M100.

get em. they are cheaper than the vmodas. just purchase from amazon & test out if the sound/comfort is good enough for you. if not, just return em. if so, add on velour pads & you're golden and saved some money.

That will be quite a different sound. I suggest you research it first on the boards. (http://www.head-fi.org/t/633413/beyerdynamic-custom-one-pro-review might help.)

Also look at K267. Maybe you can put velours on those too.
