Awesome; thanks for checking that out for me!

***Important update.  Please read***

I have recently found out that I will have obligatory work requirements that will extend through April 7th.  Although I hate to be selfish and recommend changing the date of the meet to fit my schedule, I figure it's still early enough to not cause too much strife.  And also there will be a few benefits to pushing back the date possibly by about 2 weeks (April 19th).  Alex is currently looking into availabilities of other dates.  Were are still trying to keep it on a Saturday though to maximize attendance.  Please post if anyone has any serious objections to a date change.

First, If Moon Audio has already obligated for the NY meet on the 5th, this will allow the possibility of them attending our meet.  They're not on the list yet for that meet yet but they attended the NY last year when the Winston-Salem meet was on the same day.  And it's kind of hard for us to compete with the NY meet in regards to attendees.  Second, I am hoping to purchase the new Hifiman HE-560 which *may* ship in early April and I would like to be able to demo the new headphone for you all.

Third, I have been corresponding with the director/designer at AMR / iFi Audio and he referred me to the U.S. distributor of their products for the possibility of some loaner demo gear for the meet.  I'm already planning to purchase their iLink USB converter for my system as well.  In particular I'm hoping by then they will have some of their new "Mini" component line (ironically larger and a step up from their current line).  I started a thread a few weeks ago from a CES article I found previewing their Mini iDSD DAC/amp here:

It has caught my interest since it packs 4 BB converter chips (unknown type), USB 3.0 input, Bluetooth input, filter selection, fully balanced to include 4-channel analog volume, and headphone amp putting out 3000mw @ 16 ohm.  And it's supposed to sell under $1k.

I apologize for the sudden change and inconvenience but I'm hoping the extras will sufficiently placate any discontent   :)

I'm pretty flexible as long as it stays on a Saturday. And if it lends a better time schedule to get vendors involved, that's never a bad thing. Besides that, it gives a better chance at the new HiFiMAN models to get shipped out. I'm hoping to get the HE-400i and I'd love to try out the HD-560 which hopefully should arrive by then.

Same as above. As long as it stays a Saturday. Also, I should be bringing the Questyle CMA800R as well. Supposed to be built with the HD800 in mind and should pair very well.

Technically that's end of the 3rd week in April.  Though if more have similar conflicts we can always push back another week or so.  And I realize there will always be some conflicts, especially at the last minute.  We're still looking into the availability of the other dates so the 19th isn't set in stone, just what I am looking into.  Just don't want to delay it so much that people start losing interest as well.

We can do the weekend of the 11th or 18th.  The following weekend is a big show in Chicago we're committed to.

I'm down with the dates. As long as it's set 2 or 3 weeks in advance I'll be ok to request the time off.

I'm flexible, whatever works so that the most people have an opportunity to attend. My bugdet is set to have the 009 the week before April 5th, if its at a later date that takes the pressure off a bit. If it's set to earlier ill probably still be ok as long as it's not like two weeks from now. I might post a wtb ad too and see what comes of it.

Ha, I totally forgot that had mentioned your interest just one page back, but with the conflict with the NY meet.  Sounds good indeed.

April 19th is a better Saturday for me to attend, so I'm for the change.

I'm good for either date on a Saturday.

I'm in on any date. Doesn't matter when.
