Nope... but I didn't really use "sleep mode" so...

This may be too late to ask but... did you guys shipping the X5 to the next previewer use the X5 departure checklist on the first page to make sure you packed everything the X5 came with? tongue.gif

I saw that screen exactly once; I don't remember the context. I just turned the screen off and on again then and it was gone. Easy fix.

@Joe Bloggs ...refer to

-The X5 must be shipped by a registered method and insured if possible.
-Please keep the mailing receipt when mailing out the X5 and send me a picture of the receipt via pm as proof of having sent the X5 to the next previewer.

for singapore case, i will actually meet face to face and pass the unit to the next reviewer :) how should i prove i have pass the unit to the next person?.. :( take a photo of the next reviewer?

Well, let's just ask the next previewer to take a picture of the X5 sometime as part of his preview, shall we? tongue.gif

Or how about a happy snap you two holding the X5 together biggrin.gif Should be fun
I don't mind if it's censored tongue.gif

Has any reviewer noticed if the X5 has transient suppression on power up/down?  I may have missed it but I have not seen anyone comment on hearing a pop or thud when powering up or down the player, which is good but I would like to know for sure.

There is a small one and it is due to the internal relay switching on and off the signal. I used to hear it every time I turned the player on and off and it is normal, nothing to worry about.

Yup.!

Hopefully I didn't miss anything but we should know since probably the rest of the people in the tour will take pictures. ;)

There is a relay that disconnects the headphones while the X5's amp is powering up and down so your headphones are safe. When the amp has stabilized and the relay reconnects the headphones there is a small click (both through the headphones and from the X5 itself)

I'd much prefer a loud 'pop' noise, like on the DX100 - is there any chance you can change it, for the international release?

I really miss playing Russian roulette with my CIEMs and my eardrums, since I sold my DX100....

You gotta be kidding, I much prefer it to be discrete. The Pico Slim amp pops like a popcorn popping off a microwave and it is loud even if I connect the headphone/iems after the fact I still get the static left from the pop.

My point of view it is best not to have any pops at all but if you gotta pop do it discretely.

LOL!!!!! Wow... didn't know the DX100 did that... wonder how the DX90 will be... I will definitely wait for the X5 release!

But in the meantime, enjoying the AK100 MK2...
