1. Enable buttons when the screen is locked. When certain locked button is pressed, it will display the screen to remind user to unlock the screen first (under key lock setting 2, you can change vol without turning the screen on)

2. Correct "not supported/not exist" track title, progress timer displays 00:00:00” issue....

3. Correct the bug "after finished playing to the last track, it will auto-replay the track if you press the back button..." something like that

4. Correct the bug that there is no language selection after firmware update

5. Reduce the "False play" occurence..... LoL, does that mean foul play? I think it means it is displaying as playing but it isnt??

6. Fix the  second timer inconsistent display issue... like it it would go faster or slower before

7. Fix the ID3 display issue

8. Fix the display issue when the song is embedded with lyric....

Sorry for my bad translation... it was hard to imagine what those mean when I never encountered any of the above issue before....

You did well.

I regard this as a non-essential update. I agree with musicheaven that it did not fix any problems that were actually causing issues. I am happily back to 1.0 which I prefer.

sorry, X5 has not launch outside China so we have not put the firmware in our English website.

May I recommend using MEGA or MediaFire in the future to upload files? They are free, offer much better security, but more importantly. They allow for downloads that are very fast (or as fast as your internet speed can go up to a point).

for me at least, battery life,on board memory, size, look, style, gapless, and rockbox or not

are way below the above three.

Gapless is probably FAR more important for classical music fans than worrying about minor differences in SQ.    I'd rather listen to an iPod directly than the best DAP in the world if the latter cannot do gapless.   I understand not everyone cares about it, but I presume I am not the only potential buyer who'd rather get all the facts, instead of having them all glossed over under the guise of "it will be fixed later, dont worry."

I thought I'd try this.

FiiO X5 Coaxial Out to Colorfly C4 Coaxial In. Works quite well.

Anyway, I have a few hours to spare today. These are all the amps/DAC/DAP I have on hand at the moment. Let me know if someone wants a very quick comparison or a Device X plugged into Device Y or some sorts.

Project-H (Custom Burr Brown O2 + CS4398 + Advanced IC and control boards)

Have you tried the different file res with the Coax out on the X5 yet to see if it handles them all without a hiccup?

Just wondering.

Gatcha, gonna test that out

I believe APE, FLAC, MP3, WAV, WMA, M4a(AAC/ALAC/Aiff) should be sufficent in testing?

AAC (aac), AIFF (aif), ALAC (m4a) and MP2 (mp2)

AAC, AIFF and ALAC are different formats. I know MP2 is not Hi-res but it should work though. They other ones you specified are fine.

Are there any DX50 owners here who are thinking of adding the DX50 to the comparison? It's been burning me because the DX50 is a true champ, I have been playing both side by side and they each have their strength, just curious if you guys hear anything different than I and if you are going to add it to your review?

Oh well, looks like I'll have to list the Composer as Artist on my classical music files. No respect for classical lovers, meh!
