hey guys im new here and im considering to upgrade my IEM. I mainly listen to indie rock like the arcade fire, and some dubstep. I have been seeing a lot of good reviews on the EPH 100 but this XBA H1 seems interesting with hybrid drivers... so can any of u pros help me decide which one is better??

thanks alot.

Hey I haven't owned either if the two, but am also interested in both. From what I've read, the eph is a warm and sweet sounding headphone with good soundstage and instrument seperation. The xba-h1 seems to get lack luster reviews with most people saying the treble is the issue. Wish I had more to offer.

i have both right now.. sub-bass is deeper w the yamaha, but instrument separation and soundstage is better with the sony. clarity is also better with the sony. you can read more about it here in my comparison: http://www.head-fi.org/t/705760/sony-xba-h1-initial-impressions-comparisons-sony-xb90ex-thinksound-ts-02-yamaha-eph-100

Thanks for the comparison, it was a nice read as I am still interested in hearing the bass from the Yamaha EPH-100. I ended up getting the DN-1000 from DUNU and I am so happy with it :D
