I'm guessing they'll be both bundled with the X3S as a premium bundle and sold separately as well, so they're bound to pop up on Taobao some time soon.

Good! I need a bigger device anyway because people around me have gone bigger since I bought the Note 3. My brother has the Nokia 1520 and it has a very nice sounding headphone out (better than the Note 3) and a very nice (eye-popping) screen. I don't really care about the screen, but when people at work pull out their mega phones, I'd like to reach in my left pocket and pull out a big screen and say "it's 2K".

I'll have to figure out how to turn that 2K thingy down so it doesn't drain battery needed for music and powering a flash-drive. I hope it is under $600. I'm never going to use it as a phone. It probably doesn't even have the right radios.

just got my TCL idol X+. the included headset is bassy with my DX50, haven't tried it with the phone itself. still, it is pretty good for a free phone.

I'm currently putting some high def. music on the phone to test it out later. one thing is noticeable - even if the storage is only 16 gigs, it ios damn fast. takes less than 10 seconds for full flac albums (300-400MB) to write.

The reviews (from the earlier links) suggest 3S>X3>Idol X+ in bass response (which is all I remember anyway). I'd be interested in your comparison of the Idol X+ to the DX50.

Waiting for your review :)

Need some time before I'm confident enough, but this phone sounds as good as DX50. DX50 sounds thinner in comparison (just a bit) This is initial impressions though so it may change.

compared to a sansa clip + how is the sound quality and details ? and of course compared to the DX 50 .

I would say it is about the same level as dx50 with a wider soundstage and more weight in notes. Clip+ is no rival... Will add a more in depth impressions later...

It's actually es9018k2m, way worse than es9018 in sound quality.

still sounds really good...

It's hard to imagine that a leaner version of a DAC designed to play 32bit 386KHz would sound "way worse" playing 16bit audio, but who knows? The stats are less but I doubt if any of that is audible.

There is no way you can actually substantiate that statement. Sweeping statements like that are silly and sensational.

I don't know guys, this thing sounds pretty good to my ears. it's just as enjoyable to listen to as my DX50, it is a different sounds, more weighty (there's bit more lows I guess) and details are all there. I think it's a bit more aggressive sound compared to DX50 in that it makes highs bit more apparent. mids are well, good. they are not recessed nor upfront. oh, and imaging and sound stage seems a bit bigger in all dimensions.

there is one thing though that DX50 is better at - lows are less rumbly there. S960 tends to overplay sub-base frequencies (sometimes). it's still controlled, but I guess DX50 wins there.

Okay, I'm confused now. Do you have the Idol X+ and the Vibe X S960?

Does anyone know the released date of the Vivo Xplay 3S?
