Drummer looking for first IEMs for around $300-400

Hello,

I play many different genres of music (country to metal). I originally was looking into the Alien Ears C3 monitor, but after reading of bad customer service it has me re-evaluating my options. I've never used IEMs before, but I'm leaning towards getting a custom fit pair. I've always had irritation issues with standard earbuds/headphones. Since the newest band i've joined plays 3 hour sets and uses IEMs, i'm needing to invest. I have a pair of Vic Firth Isolation headphones that I will be using in the meantime, but i'm looking to order soon.

I know there are a million questions like this. I will continue to search the forum for my answer. I don't mean to be a nuisance.  Thanks in advance for the help!

Zamorin, thanks for the links.

I checked the links out and I've now have my choices between two CIEMs.

I'm looking at either the 1964 v3 or the 1964-Q. I'm torn as to which one to get. I e never been a huge "bass head", but I do want to be able to able to hear things the closest to way things will sound on stage. My main purpose is to use this IEM as an on-stage monitor.

I've read a ton of reviews of both and I'm leaning towards the v3s, but I don't want to overlook anything. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

best is to check the appreciation thread of those IEMs on this forum. Then you get to know the pros and cons of both.

I really like the Westone UM2's. Great isolation and comfortable with the proper tips. I swapped in Shure foams. Exceedingly transparent and nuanced sound with plenty of tight, articulate bass. A sleek sound overall, nothing flabby about them.
