Is your cdp level?

I found many of us placing our headphone gears on desk, coffee table, on top of the drawer, etc, not on a hi-fi shelve. If your furniture is on carpet, I bet your gears is not level.

I levelled my CDP, only few degrees off both directions, and it does sound better. Best of all, this 'tweak' cost nothing! Try it yourself.

That stands to reason. With a liliputian power supply, most players need all the current they can get to drive the headphone amp sufficiently. Tilt the cdp, and you create a higher load for the cd motor to bear, taking it away from the amp. I notice that not only does the level of sound from my pcdp go down when I plug in a line out interconnect while listening through the headphone out, the quality degrades as well.

Something we rarely think about. Thanks for the tip! Now, where can I buy an audiophile grade leveler...

EDITED: Here's one!
