Upgrade from Takstar 2050 [Budget <= $150]

post #1 of 4
Thread Starter

I currently use a pair of Takstar 2050's at work. I like them very much but after 45 mins-1hr my ears become uncomfortable and I have to take them off for a while. I am looking for full sized headphones that I can wear comfortably for at least several hours.

My budget for this endeavor is $150 but less is better ;)

What else should you know?

- I listen to mainly metal, hip hop and jazz

- The headphones are plugged directly into a mac mini

- I wear glasses

I have tried to do research myself but "comfort" is such a subjective thing. I have no preference for open or closed but I cannot wear IEMs.

I don't know what you should upgrade to, but when you do, would you like to sell me those Takstars?

You should try Sennheiser HD558.

Best Luck!
