Currently i have 2 yamaha hs80s hooked up to a steinberg cl1 usb sound card i got for free. i want to add a sub to the mix but have no idea how to go about setting up the sub.

Current Setup: 2 hs80s with 1/4 inch jacks going to soundcard -----> which then goes to my desktop via USB

This is the back panel for the sub i am looking at: http://g-ecx.images-amazon.com/images/G/01/electronics/detail-page/PDSB15A_rear_panel.jpg

the studio monitors and the sub are self powered so im pretty certain i don't need a receiver.

any help is greatly appreciated!!!

thanks,

John

You can definitely get an RCA splitter and split the signal to the sub and speakers. But I can't think of any way to set the crossover that way. Only way I can think of is to get a sub with line inputs and outputs, so you can go from CL1 --> Sub (crossover set) --> Speakers.
