Sennheiser HD205 II any good?

Newbie here looking for advice.

Fry's has the Sennheiser HD205 II on sale so I'm trying to find some information about them, I searched here quite a bit & there are not a lot of comments on these. They come up in user postings & usually, but not always, another headphone is recommended. I'm presuming some of that may be because there are better for the price. But for a sale price of $38 maybe that tilts things in favor of the HD205 II in some comparisons. IOW a lot of bang-for-the-buck. The only negative thing I read was that the HD205 II was too tight on the head.

I want a new set of headphones for watching TV & want to block out other people talking in the house. I dragged out my old Sony MDR-CD370 but the ear pad vinyl covering is flaking off. I tried to find replacement ear pads but could not. I guess that was not a popular model.

Any other comments would be appreciated.

Thanks

They're OK for what they are--$50 cans.  Truth be told, there are very few $50 cans that stand out--especially in a + way.  It's almost always the better performing models--and not surprisingly therefore more expensive models--that get the attention on a headphone site.
